Preston Docks - British MX Championship

Preston Docks - British MX Championship

Heading into the halfway point of the British Motocross Championship series, the Plews supported riders secured a triple podium at Preston Docks over the weekend of July 20th.

MX1

Tristan Purdon had a great weekend coming 3 - 3 in the races and finished 3rd on the podium. He had a crash in the last moto which cost him some time but having pulled a big enough gap during the race he was able to get to the finish and still hold onto 3rd position.

MX2

Charlie Heyman had what was referred to as a breakthrough performance at this race. Clearly showing the potential he had as a youth rider it is clear that it all seems to be clicking for this rider. The MX2 class had a special guest attending this race, none other that Kay De Wolf took to the track to show the local boys how it’s done. His results were 4 - 3 in the races to end on the podium in 3rd overall. Charlie now moves from 5th to 3rd in the championship standing and shared how he is feeling mega on the bike and full on confidence.

125

Ryan Waggot gave his competitors a run for their money at this race. It was a hard fight between Ryan and Charlie Richmond for the P1 position but ultimately Ryan completed the races with 2 - 2. In race 1 he had a small crash and held the holeshot lead for a while in race 2. He finished his race weekend on the podium with a 2nd overall.

It is clear these riders are going from strength to strength as this series continues. The riders will be heading to Landrake on August 10th for round 5.
