Motul ACU British MX Championship - SC Sporthomes Husqvarna
Starting out on top, Round 3 took place on June 15th at the sandy circuit at Blaxhall near Woodbridge in Suffolk. This track, host to a number of British Championship events in the early 90's is known for its flowing layout and natural elevation which creates an exciting race circuit for both riders and spectators.
For MX1 Tristan Purdon had a solid weekend and took the overall 2nd on the podium. He is now sitting 5th in the overall MX1 standings. A solid push in race 1 and with minimal fuel in the tank for race 2 he had some luck on his side. “It feels amazing to get on the box. 3 -3 for 2nd overall. I’ll take it, you have to be in it to win it in this sport and 2nd for me I’m really chuffed, first one for me. It’s good to get on the box again and it’s just nice to repay the team with how much support they put in. First one for Plews, overall podium and the tyres were working good!”.

Charlie Putnam came home with a P16 which now has him sitting in 21st in the overall MX1 standings. Although it is not the pace he was hoping for returning from injury, our team at Plews knows that racing is about consistency and showing up and we’re happy to have him back on track.

In the MX2 class Charlie Heyman secured a 5-6 to position himself in 5th in the overall standings. Blaxhall saw some great battles within the top 10 and although Charlie may not have podiumed at this race, he is certainly heading in the right direction! We see Syd Putnam sitting in P25 in the MX2 Class.
