Plews Tyres is proud to announce that supported rider Toby Shaw has been crowned the 2025/2026 FIM Junior Super Enduro World Championship winner. The British rider secured the title at the season finale in Douai, France on March 7th, capping off a breakthrough season that saw him rise from podium contender to world champion.
Racing on Plews tyres throughout the championship, Shaw's journey to the title exemplifies the our "Made To Win" philosophy. From the beginning, we at Plews believed in Toby's ability and talent to become a world champion, providing unwavering support throughout his journey to the title.
A Season-Defining Campaign
Toby's path to the world championship was built on consistency, resilience, and breakthrough performances when it mattered most. After starting the season in 3rd position, Shaw steadily climbed through the standings with podium finishes across Germany, Spain, and Budapest before seizing his opportunity when the championship opened up.
The defining moment came at the penultimate round in Newcastle, where Shaw delivered a flawless performance in front of his home crowd. Sweeping all three races with three holeshots and three victories, Shaw became the first rider all season to claim an overall round victory other than the previously dominant Milan Schmüser. That perfect night earned Shaw the red leader plate and positioned him to seal the championship in France.
"The Newcastle round was special," Shaw reflected after securing the title. "Racing in front of family and friends, winning all three races. It gave me the confidence heading into France. The championship still hadn't sunk in even after crossing the line. Best night of my life so far."
Championship Secured in France
Heading into the final round in Douai carrying the red leader plate, Shaw approached the decisive races with the composure that defined his season. Despite a challenging start in Race 1 that saw him fight back to 2nd position, it was Race 2 that delivered the championship-clinching moment.
Starting from 14th on a reverse grid, Shaw demonstrated the race craft and determination that carried him all season. Fighting through the pack and taking calculated risks, Toby overtook for the lead and crossed the finish line in 1st position, securing the FIM Junior Super Enduro World Championship title.

Made To Win: Supporting Champions at Every Level
For Plews Tyres, Shaw's world championship validates the company's commitment. Providing world-class tyres to up-and-coming youth riders demonstrates Plews' commitment not just to the sport's future, but to the riders themselves. Giving them the confidence and belief that a professional brand is backing them 100% as they develop toward world championship contention.
Throughout the season, Shaw relied on our tyres to deliver the grip, durability, and performance required in one of motorsport's most demanding disciplines. Super Enduro presents unique challenges that test equipment to its limits. Slippery cement pipes, technical rock sections, wet conditions, spongy dirt, and massive jumps all within a single lap. The tyres must perform consistently across wildly varying terrain while withstanding the punishment of aggressive indoor racing.
Josh Plews, Founder of Plews Tyres:
"Toby's world championship is exactly what 'Made To Win' stands for. We don't just support riders who've already won world titles—we invest in talented athletes on their way up, giving them the same quality tyres and commitment we provide to established champions. Toby proved throughout the season that when you combine exceptional talent with championship-level equipment, special things happen.
Watching him sweep Newcastle in front of his home crowd, then seal the title in France, that's the kind of success we're proud to be part of. Toby worked incredibly hard for this championship, showed real character when the pressure was on, and demonstrated he belongs at the top. We're excited to support him as he continues his career, and we're proud that a world championship has been won on Plews tyres.”

"The tyres performed flawlessly all season," Shaw noted. That confidence in your equipment makes all the difference when you're fighting for a championship."
