We are thrilled to be announcing our Plews Tyres British Extreme Enduro rider lineup. We have some of the best riders that the UK has to offer in the extreme enduro scene. In the coming months the following riders will be focusing primarily on the Plews Tyres ACU British Extreme Enduro Championship as well as the FIM World Super Enduro Championship. Of course you will also be seeing them at a variety of other events throughout the year. The British Extreme season has already started with round one at Hapton and the Super Enduro Season has already reached it’s halfway mark. Let’s get to know a bit more about our riders:
Charlie Frost - Eurotek Rieju
A very familiar face to the Plews team and someone who’s been under the Plews gazebo for a little while now is Charlie Frost. This year he will be racing with the Eurotek Rieju team. While Charlie may be considered our resident tyre tester, he has a lot more to offer on the race track. In his 2025 season Charlie raced in the championship class of the ACU British Extreme Championship finishing 8th overall with 30 points. This year his expectations are to finish the season with a top 5 overall position but is aware that anything can happen at these extreme enduro races and that there will be some wild card riders to contend with. At round one Charlie finished in 12th position and will be looking to improve on that result in the coming rounds.
Radford Chugg - Eurotek Rieju
A rider most famous for his thumb throttle and outgoing personality is none other than Radford Chugg. While his social media and online presence is one to keep an eye on, he will be racing with the Eurotek Rieju team and will be a rider to look out for. Radford has been racing in the hard enduro world championship for two years now, heading into his third season. With extremely impressive results in the 2025 season, Radford has some good experience under his belt heading into the 2026 season. Radford participated in the championship class for the 2025 ACU British Extreme season and finished in 10th overall with 26 points. This year he believes that there are really good riders in the championship so there will be tough competition but he is ultimately aiming for a couple podium finishes. At round one Radford finished in 8th position having had a good start to his journey on his new bike.
Toby Shaw - Eurotek
A rider who has been moving his way up through the ranks is Toby Shaw. An experienced super enduro rider who has certainly been finding his feet in the industry as well as on the podium. This year Toby is racing with the Eurotek team and for the next few months is exclusively focused on the Super Enduro Championship. This year we are also excited to follow his racing through the FIM Junior Hard Enduro World Championship.
Connor Watson - Eurotek
A firecracker of a rider who has been creating a name for himself in the super enduro scene. While he may be the youngest in this group, he certainly has experience being on the podium. In the 2026 season Connor will be racing in the expert class of the Plews Tyres ACU British Extreme Enduro Championship, while he was not able to participate at round one at Hapton, he plans to be present at the upcoming rounds.
Jed Balmer and Jason Balmer - Plews Tyres Racing
Two brothers who are well known in the British enduro scene are Jed and Jason Balmer, also referred to as the Westleigh Yarddogs. These riders will be racing under the Plews Tyre racing banner. In the 2025 ACU British Extreme season, Jed participated in the Expert class and came in 6th overall with 66 points. Jason raced in the Championship class and had a fantastic season coming in 4th overall with 50 points. Looking at round one of the 2026 season Jed raced in the Expert class and claimed a 5th position. Jason will be racing in the championship class and finished round one in 11th position. We are eager to see these two taking on the new race season.
Richard Moorehouse - Rutherford Racing
Rich has raced as part of the FIM Junior Hard Enduro World Championship for the past few years and has done exceptionally well in various events over the years. Most recently he took the top spot a the Valleys Xtreme as well as third at round one of the British Extreme at Hapton. A top rider and tough competition. This year Richard will take part in the world championship again but in the next few months his focus will be on the Plews Tyres ACU British Extreme Enduro Championship.
Matt Stuttard - 247 Enduro
A rider with a pretty interesting background in downhill and enduro cycling is Matt Stuttard. This season he will be racing with the 247 Enduro team. He is a rider with a lot of international riding experience and in his 2025 season of the ACU British Extreme Matt came in 2nd overall in the Experts class with 88 points. At round one Matt finished in 9th position in some tough conditions. This year the championship is packed with tough competition but we’re excited to see how Matt does.
Peter Collins - GMBX race suspension
Peter Collins is another rider joining the Plews team along with GMBX race suspension. Looking at the Valleys Xtreme event that took pace at the beginning of the year, Peter raced in the expert class and with an exceptional performance placed 6th overall with a gold finish. Peter is currently leading the Expert championship class after the first round of the 2026 season.
Together, these nine riders represent the depth and talent of British extreme enduro racing. From experienced championship contenders to emerging stars, the Plews Tyres British Extreme Enduro team is built for success across both Championship and Expert classes. With Round 2 at Tong fast approaching on February 15th, our riders are prepared to build on their season-opening performances.
